One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, By B.J. Novak
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ MUST READ!
*
A modern classic. This book belongs among the greats. Novak’s collection of short stories has captured all of the wonderings that there are to capture and displayed them perfectly in a mix of brilliant and amusing stories. From just a few words to just a few lines, to pages and pages, there’s humor, wit, comic relief, surprise, and plain genius writing between the covers.
*
It is incredible how Novak has created so many characters that are so well developed in his short stories that you immediately want to know more about them, but also feel lucky enough to have just been introduced. It’s as if Novak has crafted the precise moment for each character that reveals the most important thing about them. You come away from the book feeling an uncanny connection to the words on the page.
*
I love that there’s a shock in almost every story.
*
My list of favorites from this is endless. I didn’t want it to end.
*

(Just another reason to love B.J. Novak, other than The Office.)
