Historical Fiction ~ Perfect for Fans of the Royal Family ~ A Subtle Touch of Mystery
It took me a minute to get into this one, things moved pretty slowly in the beginning, but it eventually picked up enough to make me finish it. There’s a bit of romance, history, and a subtle touch of mystery at the end, although it was somewhat predictable. A good fall read for fans of the royal family and historical fiction.
The story revolves around the events of 1953 London, a year that was marked by the anticipation of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. The majority of the story takes place in a small hotel that’s along the coronation route. While the city prepares for the celebration, the hotel’s owner attempts to save her family’s legacy, while someone tries to sabotage her plans.
