Coronation Year, by Jennifer Robson ★★★✩✩ (3.5/5) Worth reading, but I wouldn’t read again.10/23/2023 Historical Fiction ~ Perfect for Fans of the Royal Family ~ A Subtle Touch of MysteryIt took me a minute to get into this one, things moved pretty slowly in the beginning, but it eventually picked up enough to make me finish it. There’s a bit of romance, history, and a subtle touch of mystery at the end, although it was somewhat predictable. A good fall read for fans of the royal family and historical fiction. The story revolves around the events of 1953 London, a year that was marked by the anticipation of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. The majority of the story takes place in a small hotel that’s along the coronation route. While the city prepares for the celebration, the hotel’s owner attempts to save her family’s legacy, while someone tries to sabotage her plans. All I’d have to do was mount my horse and leave—throw my hands wide and fly away on the wind toward the stars that beckoned me to find them.
But my responsibilities made me ignore their pull.
