I’ve tasted, tested, and shared all of these with friends to compile the perfect list of satisfying summer sips.
The 9 Best Non-Alcoholic Drinks to Sip This Summer
Refreshing, hangover-free beverages for your best season yet

Boozy summer is all fun and games until 30 comes knocking on your door and suddenly the hangover lasts for days, your jeans don’t fit, and your back hurts… like all the time, even when you haven’t spent the night sleeping on a friend's futon.

This summer I’m sipping something different. These refreshing non-alcoholic drinks are checking all the boxes and will keep you feeling good, without the hangover, but still with a buzz or a deep sense of relaxation. Bring them in the car, to the pool, or pack them in a cooler for the beach or barbecue. Either way, you’ll thank me later.

1. Cann Spiritz - Non-Alcoholic THC Drink

My number one drink this summer is Cann’s New Spiritz. One thing that makes it tough for people to pass on alcoholic drinks in the summer is that urge to really unwind at the end of a long day. That’s right, the buzz. Well, there’s no need to pass on relaxation. Cann’s Spiritz packs a wallop of blissful relaxation with all the fruity flavors found in your favorite summer cocktail.

This drink is ideal for unwinding by the pool, or I love making myself a soothing mocktail after dinner. It’s great to sip before bed and really helps me relax. Pack this bottle the next time you’re meeting friends, and everyone will be thanking you for skipping the obligatory wine.

Recipe: Looking for the perfect summer mocktail recipe? Drink it straight for a fruity, flavorful mouthful that isn’t too sweet. Or partake in the ritual and mix it with seltzer over ice for a flourish that you and your friends will love.

Ingredients: This drink is sweetened with agave and cranberry juice and contains industrial hemp extract to help you relax and destress.

2. Recess – Sparkling Adaptogen Drink

Another go-to this summer is Recess. It’s been around for a while now, but the new flavor is everything I want in an easy non-alcoholic summer beverage. Orange Vanilla Mood captures all of the warmer-day vibes with a burst of fruity flavor. The snap and pop of the can, the sound of clinking ice — it all triggers something deep in my soul that is perfect on a hot day. Not to mention, it’s made with healthier ingredients, minerals, and herbs that help you relax.

Ingredients: Magnesium L‑threonate, L‑theanine, and lemon balm. It helps you unwind, it has zero added sugar, and the flavor just screams bonfires, sandy toes, and sunsets.

Recipe: Serve it over ice and you’re golden. For a sweet treat, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dreamy dreamsicle dessert.

3. Bloom Pop - Prebiotic Soda

Get on the bandwagon; there is no point in fighting it! The healthier soda trend is here to stay, and Bloom Pop just might be my favorite so far. It’s got all the flavor, fizz, and pop of a can of soda but with only three grams of sugar and a prebiotic to nourish your gut. Plus, it’s caffeine-free, so you can sip it with your late-night movie, pour a glass for a midnight sweet treat, and you don’t have to sacrifice your sleep or sanity.

Recipe: If you’re looking for something that not only curbs your craving but is also a fun addition at social hour, grab the Shirley Temple Cherry option. Pour it over ice, garnish it with a maraschino cherry and a slice of orange for a mocktail that’s perfectly Instagrammable.

Ingredients: It’s sweetened with organic cane sugar! This natural ingredient is far superior to corn syrup and other artificial sweeteners that are packed with unknown ingredients and additives.

4. Minor Figures – Barista Chai Concentrate

Over ice or served hot with whipped cream, I don’t care how you drink it, you’ll fall in love with this beguiling beverage. Chai doesn’t necessarily come to mind in the hotter summer months, but Minor Figures has me reaching every time now. The concentrate offers rich flavors with a bite of spice in the cinnamon.

Recipe: Keep it chilled, pour it over ice, and grab your favorite over-priced travel glass with a straw and skip Starbucks this summer.

Ingredients: It’s plant-based, gluten-free, and made with organic ingredients. If you’re dairy-free, pour in a splash of Minor Figures Oat Milk for a silky, creamy summer drink that will satisfy every taste bud.

5. Gorgie – Energy Drink with Green Tea Caffeine

A burst of energy and clean ingredients. What more can we really ask for in the sweltering summer months? This zero-gram sugar energy drink is made with green tea caffeine, and you absolutely must grab a can of the Sparkling Peach Tea for your morning summer hike. At this time of year, I have a lot of early morning plans in order to beat the heat, and a cold can of Gorgie is better than your regular coffee routine.

Ingredients: Green and white tea caffeine, L-theanine, veggie juice for color, and ginger root extract. I could do without the natural flavors, but it’s a much better option than most!

Recipe: No extras needed. Drink it chilled, in the car, before the bar, or wherever you are.

6. Cann Ginger Lemongrass – THC and CBD Infused Tonic

Crack a can of this and you’ll forget all about White Claws and beer. This other non-alcoholic option still provides a peaceful mood, thanks to the high-quality THC, and best of all is the zingy ginger flavor. We love a little spice under the sun while our feet are in the water.

Recipe: No extras needed; this beverage is five stars all on its own. Pull it out of the cooler, pop it open, and enjoy.

Ingredients: A single 8-ounce can contains 2mg of THC and 4mg of CBD. This all-natural social tonic is what I’m reaching for alllll summer.

7. Mingle Mocktails – Key Lime Margarita

I’m not going to lie, I have used Mingle as a mixer for a quick and easy cocktail in the past. It’s just so easy. I’ve convinced all my friends that I can make a truly gourmet cocktail thanks to Mingle. However, these alcohol-free summer drinks are just as refreshing without the tequila and vodka. If you’re cutting back or just enjoy fun summer flavors without the hangover, pack a few cans of Mingle for your next outing.

Flavors such as Key Lime, Blood Orange, and Raspberry provide all the fruitiness that I crave poolside. In addition, they’re not too sweet because they’re made with real fruit juice, and the light carbonation makes them bubbly and fun but still refreshing on a hot day. Your alcohol-free summer sips just got an upgrade with Mingle.

Recipe: One can of Mingle Mocktails Key Lime Margarita, shaken or blended with ice. Serve in a giant margarita glass with salt on the rim and a slice of pineapple to garnish.

Ingredients: Made with all the good stuff, organic cane sugar and organic fruit juice concentrate. And only four grams of added sugar.

8. Death Wish Coffee Company Lattes - Energy Drink

That morning boost of energy can be elusive, and a regular cup of coffee doesn’t always cut it. If you’ve got early morning adventures this summer, consider a Mocha Death Wish Coffee Company Canned Latte. Yes, yes, this is a bit of an indulgence because of the sugar and caffeine. But sometimes you need a little pick-me-up, and several things about this product make me happy.

Ingredients: For a drink that is bound to give you a boost of energy, the ingredient list is surprisingly short. Its main ingredients are milk, cold brew coffee, sugar, cocoa, and – best of all – it’s Fair Trade Certified coffee.

9. After Dream – THC Social Tonic

Picture

The only word I can think of to describe this one is vibrant. Everything about it sparkles and crackles with energy. It does the job of mellowing me out, but it also doesn’t make me too sleepy or come with the typical hangover that social tonics usually entail. It’s a 10 out of 10 for me!

It satisfies the ritual of pouring myself a refreshing beverage at the end of the day and checks all of my boxes.
Ingredients: The can’s label is satisfyingly short, with organic cannabis extract and real fruit juice. What more can you ask for?

Recipe: Pour it over ice for absolute perfection!
